The Bended Knee

The bended knee, this posture of worship and adoration.

Not my will but your will be done.

On earth, as it is in heaven

The bended knee were all of my pride is laid bare

At the foot of the cross, I come.

Once again I fall on my knees.

I bow down. I worship you.

Bringing all of my heart, all of my soul.

Not just a part.

All of my guilt, all of my shame, all of my hurt and all of my pain.

Oh Father, wash me and cleanse me once again.

At the foot of the cross, I come.

Once again I fall on my knees

I bow down. I worship you.

What love that you would give your life for me.

Your blood poured out for me

Nail pierced hands with scars that remain

Wounds that banish all of my guilt and all of my shame

At the foot of the cross, I come.

Once again I fall on my knees

I bow down. I worship you.

The cross has broken every chain.

My eyes once blind, but now I can see

Christ died for me. His body broken for me.

Death could not hold Him.

Christ is risen. Christ is alive.

The Lion and the Lamb.

Jesus is His name.

The bended knee, no greater place to be

At the foot of the cross, I come.

Once again I fall on my knees

I bow down. I worship you.
