  • Light in the darkness

    Light in the darkness

His breath filled all things with a living, breathing light

    – a light that thrives in the depths of darkness

His light will always shine and never fade away

A light that is always brighter than the darkness that surrounds us or tries to overwhelms us

    His light shines!

    His light shines in us.!

His light shines through us. A light so powerful – it causes the darkness to flee!

His light is always more powerful than the darkness.

Jesus Christ is the light of the world and darkness and death have not overcome Him

We have nothing to fear even though we may see it. We are to fear no evil, even though we may sense it.

For He has already overcome it all.

His light shall always shine brighter than the darkness. It has never stopped shining. It has never grown dim or faded away. It burns like a fire. It lights up the sky by day and the moon and stars by night.

The whole cosmos is alive with the light of His presence.

His light shall always invade the darkness. His light shall always push back the darkness. It’s always present in the now moments.

The light of Christ shall always be made know to the world. For one day every eye shall see, every knee shall bow, and every tongue confess that – Jesus Christ is Lord.

He is the light of the world.

Through the pain, through the sorrow, through the grief, through the loss.

His light will always pave a way through the storm, through the darkest of days. His light will alway make a way when there seems to be no other way. His light will always reveal Christ to us and Christ within us.

Even though the darkness may seem to overwhelm us. His word will be a lamp unto our feet.

Let His light shall shine in the darkness. Do not try to hide it. People need to see the light of Christ.

Let His words comfort you. Let His love embrace you. Let His light lead you. Let hope restore you – the hope that is already within you.

For His hope will always be there even when we feel hopeless. His hope will always sustain us even when pain or grief overwhelms us. His hope has never left us. His hope has always been with us. His hope shall sustain us.

Let your Light shine in the darkness. Let your light lead us through the pathway we’ve never been before.

Burn Like a fire within us.

    Let hope be restored.

For this light and hope has always been with us.

  • A divine mystery

Oh, love divine, this love excelling

    What a mystery, this love

    A divine mystery

Concealed from the world for generations

But now revealed, no longer hidden

Now revealed, like a secret surprise

Christ within you, every breath, living in you

    Christ who floods my soul

With the expectation of His glory

    This mystery, this love divine

Unfolding throughout our lives, like every child’s experience

    Throughout all of the generations

No longer hidden from the world, no longer hidden from humanity

His presence surrounds, His presence invades

This is sacred space, with both beauty and time

Living within you, living within me

Flooding my soul, making me whole

This mystery of Christ, embedded within

Never to be shaken, more deeply revealed

This stirring of our faith, echoes like the seas roar

Never to fade away, or diminish with time

Like a heavenly treasure chest, this gift of life reveals

A love divine, a love excelling

Full of hope, full of glory, full of mystery

Would someone tell me, this old, old story

    Of the old rugged cross

The riches of His glory, the riches of His love

    A love that still stands

Prevailing through the tests of time

This love never failing, revealing His truth over time

A love that has sacrificed it all

    For you, for me!

A God who wants everyone to know!

This story is no longer concealed

Reveals the hidden mystery from the beginning of time

His shadow that washes away every shadow of guilt and shame

Of every evil thought or deed or blame

Through the sacrifice that was made

    His body bruised and broken

Releases love, releases hope, releases peace

For all the eyes of the world to see

This sin payment made so that we could dwell

In His presence forever, restoring relationship with Him

Nothing can separate us from this love

Holy and flawless, as white as a dove

We’ve been redeemed, we’ve been restored

Fully and completely, by the blood of the Lamb.

Oh what a mystery, this love divine

Never to be shaken from this hope – this radical gospel story

To which we confess, to which we believe

This profound story, for every tribe and tongue

Oh, love divine, this love excelling

This divine mystery, a secret surprise

Once concealed but now alive, for all the nations to see

Christ died, Christ is risen, Christ in me!

    The hope of glory!

For through Him everything is created

All that is seen and all that is unseen

This intimate connection with Him, always with you.

Everything created, His plan and purpose

Through His blood, the old rugged cross

Would someone tell me this old old story

For everything in life, comes back to Him

All that is broken, now redeemed

    Restored, made whole once again

Oh, love divine, this love excelling

Thank you for the old rugged cross

    The hope of glory!

Thank you for this sacred cost

What a love divine, this love excelling!

This love opens the way to life, between you and me!

    What a mystery!

    What love is this?

    (inspired by Colossians Ch 2)
